Course Description
This advanced course covers PET/CT and SPECT imaging physics, quality assurance procedures, and radiopharmaceutical handling and safety. Participants will learn about detector technology, image reconstruction algorithms, quantitative imaging techniques, and the latest advances in nuclear medicine imaging.
The course includes comprehensive QA procedures for PET/CT and SPECT systems, including NEMA testing, image quality assessment, and quantitative accuracy verification. Topics also cover radiopharmaceutical preparation, handling, and safety protocols, as well as radiation protection for nuclear medicine staff.
Practical exercises include phantom testing, image analysis, and case studies. Upon completion, participants will be able to perform comprehensive nuclear medicine QA testing and maintain compliance with accreditation requirements.
