MRI Safety: Level 2 MR Personnel
In-depth MRI safety for MR technologists, radiologists and MR nurses with screening duties, based on the ACR Manual on MR Safety. English.
Course Description
MRI safety training for Level 2 MR Personnel — MR technologists, MR radiologists, and MR nurses and anesthesia staff with screening responsibilities. Based on the ACR Manual on MR Safety: static-field forces and projectiles, screening and the full stop before Zone IV, implants and MR Conditional labeling, RF heating, SAR and burn prevention, gradients, noise and nerve stimulation, cryogens and quench, emergencies, special patient groups and supervising Level 1 staff.
The course runs video, post-test, then certificate. The post-test unlocks after the full video has been watched and requires 80% to pass.
Watching does not make you Level 2 — your facility's MR Medical Director designates that. MR safety training follows ACR guidance and accreditation programs, not a dedicated federal MR rule.
