MRI Safety: Level 1 and MRI Awareness
MRI safety for Level 1 MR personnel and non-MR staff — front desk, transport, EVS, security and facilities — based on the ACR Manual on MR Safety. English.
Course Description
MRI safety training for staff designated as Level 1 MR Personnel and for everyone whose work brings them near an MRI department. Based on the ACR Manual on MR Safety: the magnet is always on, projectiles, the four-zone model and the 9-gauss line, screening yourself, MR Safe / Conditional / Unsafe labels, emergencies including codes, fire and quench, cryogen safety, and event reporting.
The course runs video, post-test, then certificate. The post-test unlocks after the full video has been watched and requires 80% to pass.
Watching does not make you Level 1 — your facility's MR Medical Director designates that. MR safety training follows ACR guidance and accreditation programs, not a dedicated federal MR rule.
