Course Description

DOT hazmat employee training for anyone who prepares, packages, offers, receives or unloads radioactive material — 49 CFR Subpart H, Class 7. Covers who counts as a hazmat employee, the two-leg test under §173.403 that decides whether material is Class 7, package families and A1/A2 limits, why an excepted package still carries the training duty under §173.422(d), shipping papers, marking and labeling, how the label category is set by both surface dose rate and transport index, who the offeror is under §171.8, emergency response information, and incident reporting under §171.15 and §171.16. The course runs video, post-test, then certificate. The post-test unlocks after the full video has been watched and requires 80% to pass. General awareness and familiarization training. Function-specific training, testing, certification and records remain your employer's responsibility under §172.704.
