Ramses Herrera Habsburg

Mr. Ramses Herrera Habsburg is a board-certified medical physicist with dual certification in Therapeutic and Diagnostic Medical Physics from the American Board of Radiology. With over a decade of clinical, academic, and administrative experience, he has contributed extensively to radiation oncology, diagnostic imaging, and nuclear medicine across major healthcare systems and academic medical centers. Ramses currently serves as a Therapeutic Medical Physicist and National Imaging Subject Matter Expert at GenesisCare USA. In this role, he leads national imaging quality assurance initiatives, supports advanced treatment planning and MRI-LINAC operations, and plays a key role in the development of Theranostics programs, integrating diagnostic and therapeutic applications of radiopharmaceuticals. Previously, Ramses held the position of Director of the Radiation Control Center and Chief Imaging Physicist at the University of Miami, where he provided strategic leadership for imaging physics and radiation safety programs. His responsibilities included oversight of complex radioactive materials licenses, protocol standardization across imaging modalities, and the implementation of a comprehensive Theranostics and patient-specific dosimetry platform. He earned his M.S. in Medical Physics from a CAMPEP-accredited program at Florida Atlantic University and is currently pursuing a Ph.D. in Medical Physics at the University of Florida. Ramses is an active contributor to the medical physics community through national conference presentations, peer-reviewed publications, and collaborative projects with industry partners including Philips Medical and Sun Nuclear Corporation. Fluent in English, Spanish, German, and Italian, Ramses brings a global perspective and strong communication skills to his work. His technical expertise spans advanced treatment planning systems (Eclipse, Pinnacle), Monte Carlo simulation (MCNP, GEANT4), and regulatory compliance with ACR, NRC, and MQSA standards. He remains committed to advancing the field through education, innovation, and continuous quality improvement.
